Chartway Group are delighted to have made a substantial donation to five Scouts from Sittingbourne & Milton District Scouts who are fundraising to be able to attend the 25th World Jamboree taking place in Korea in 2023.
Each Scout must raise £4,000 to take their place in the team who will be taking part in the Jamboree where more than 4,000 Scouts from all over the world will unite for ten days of teamwork and personal development. Part of the funds the team raises will go to supporting Scouts in less economically developed countries, and assist them to attend the event.
The World Scout Jamboree is a World Organization of the Scout Movement( WOSM) and the Jamboree takes places every four years.
Mary-Anne Staddon, Marketing and Social Corporate Responsibility Manager at Chartway Group said “ This is fantastic opportunity to be able to support the Sittingbourne & Milton Districts Scouts team with fundraising for their trip to Korea to take part in the 2023 World Jamboree.
As we have a construction site in Sittingbourne it’s fitting that we support the team with their efforts. The Scout Association engages and supports young people in their development, and as these young people may well be the country’s future leaders and ambassadors it’s a great way to develop lifelong skills which they will use in both their careers and personal lives.
